Foxy Eyes

Overview

Women have yearned for seductive, almond-shaped eyes with extended brows ever since Cleopatra's time.

The Foxy Eyes Technique, also known as a brow lift with lateral canthopexy, is a surgical procedure that gives the outermost part of the eyes an enticing, upswept appearance. At the IMAGN Institute, we are experts at artistically lifting and shaping the brows and outer corners of the eyes to produce a lovely cat eye shape that is both refined and natural-looking.
Our exceptionally skilled surgeons are experts in eye rejuvenation.

Are You a Candidate for a foxy eyes procedure?

This procedure may be recommended to you if you have any of the following issues:
  • A sagging brow causing hooding of the upper eyelids
  • Drooping eyebrows that cause you to look persistently tired, angry or worried
  • Loose skin or small fat deposits along the upper eyelids
  • Drooping of the lower eyelid
  • You are simply looking for the cat eye shape!

Endoscopic Browlift and Canthopexy

An endoscope, a specialized camera used in the procedure, is inserted into the surgical region through a very small incision concealed in the scalp. Through the endoscope, our surgeons can see the process and utilize instruments to make the required modifications to the underlying muscle and tissue to provide a natural-looking result with minimal damage to the surrounding tissue. To prevent noticeable scarring following the treatment, a small incision will be made inside the hairline.
Dr. Saad, our Medical Director of the IMAGN INSTITUTE, is a renowned specialist in the endoscopic brow lift procedure. In the book Aesthetic Rejuvenation of the Face and Neck, which details the most recent surgical and non-surgical methods for facial rejuvenation and draws on the experience of famous plastic surgeons, he is the author of the chapter titled “Endoscopic Brow Lifting.”
Canthopexy is a procedure to tighten the lower eyelid and give it an up slanted appearance.

Thread Lift

This is an ambulatory procedure done in clinic without anesthesia. Although threads give an immediate result with minimal down time, the results are not long lasting.

Botulinum toxin

Botox can moderately lift the tail of the brow but has no effect on the lower eyelid shape. It has to be repeated every few months.

The Recovery Process

It is normal that some numbness, bruising and swelling are present for the first few days. Pain medication will be prescribed to ensure you are comfortable. Our team of post-surgery professionals will provide you with full instructions concerning care for the incisions, how to bathe, when to return for a follow-up and what products could be beneficial to accelerate healing.
Those patients who undergo endoscopic brow lifts, would usually be able to go back to work within a few days. Those who have an open brow lift would usually require a slightly longer recovery period for the bruising and swelling to become unnoticeable. You could go back to work within a week.
Both procedures guarantee durable effects and it would be a number of years before any touch-up procedure is necessary.
