Rhinoplasty

Overview

Balance and proportion are the hallmarks of beauty and when the nose is disproportionately large or distracting, a rhinoplasty can make a profound difference.

Facial harmony is the most important endpoint in any beautiful aesthetic enhancement of the face. As the central facial feature, the nose brings balance, proportion and harmony to the face. Size, shape and position have a profound impact on your overall appearance. There are diverse reasons for people to consider rhinoplasty, but at the end of the process, a nose that is both intrinsically balanced and in beautiful proportion with other facial features, is the ultimate goal.
A rhinoplasty, or “nose job”, is an aesthetic plastic surgery of the nose that can address all facets of nasal form and function. This is not a procedure you can trust any plastic surgeon with. You need a physician that understands the complex anatomy and artistry of the nose as it relates to the rest of the facial features, which will ensure the most natural, beautiful results.
Our team of board-certified plastic surgeons are skilled in all nuances and techniques of the art and science of rhinoplasty. They all possess years of experience, meticulous attention to detail, technical finesse and natural artistry to achieve the most exquisite results.

Rhinoplasty approaches

Closed Rhinoplasty

During closed rhinoplasty, the surgeon restricts incisions to within the nasal passages. This provides sufficient access to the structure of the nose for some enhancements without leaving any visible scarring behind. A closed rhinoplasty is recommended to patients who need less correction, since the ability to reach the internal passages, cartilage and tissue are more limited.

Open Rhinoplasty

Open rhinoplasty adds an incision across the tissue separating the nostrils underneath the nose. The location and Z-shape of the incision make visible scarring after surgery almost non-existent. It also allows for greater accessibility to the internal structure of the nose so that the surgeon can make more extensive cosmetic corrections. An open approach is most commonly recommended to patients who require more extensive nasal work or revision surgery.

Non surgical Rhinoplasty

Patients looking for a mild to moderate corrections to the nose may be candidates for non-surgical rhinoplasty. This approach uses a collection of injectable formulations to correct minor asymmetries and enhance the overall shape and profile of the nose. This procedure does not require any anesthesia or downtime. Results are temporary, so you will need to repeat the injections periodically to maintain positive results.

The Recovery Process

It is normal to have bruising and swelling after rhinoplasty. You may also go home with splints or packing to hold the nose in position as it heals. Our team of professionals will instruct you on how to make your recovery as comfortable, quick and complication-free as possible. It is likely you will be back to regular activities within about a week or two, although it is best to avoid strenuous exercise for a bit longer in order to give the nose sufficient time to heal.
