Are You a
Candidate for a labiaplasty?

A labiaplasty is the right choice for you if you have any of the following concerns:
  • Vaginal lips that protrude beyond the vaginal opening
  • Pain during intercourse or other activities
  • Labia are visible when wearing a bathing suit or workout clothing
  • Inability to perform some activities due to discomfort
  • Skin irritation or frequent infections in the vaginal area

Labiaplasty approaches

Wedge Method of Labiaplasty

This excision method tends to be the most popular with labiaplasty patients, because it produces the most natural result. A triangular piece of tissue is removed from the inner labia, known as the labia minora, and may also include removal of a portion of the outer labia or labia majora. This technique is particularly beneficial for women with significant amount of protrusion.

Trim or Edge Method of Labiaplasty

During this procedure, excess skin is removed from the edge of the labia minora to create a smoother contour. This procedure may be good for women with less protrusion and has a shorter recovery period.

The Recovery Process

Patients would experience some swelling in the genital area for a short period of time after the surgery. We will provide you with a special cushion that would make sitting more comfortable for the first few days. You will be able to go back to your normal routine within 3-4 days of the procedure, yet we recommend that you reduce your activity levels and avoid intercourse to give the labia sufficient time to heal.
